The Supper Club at 29: setting for the GRA Gastronomic Gala Dinner

Want to help Maggie’s charity and enjoy a meal cooked by five of Glasgow’s top chefs? Step this way.

The Glasgow Restaurant Association (GRA) has organised a spectacular dinner event at The Supper Club at 29 in Royal Exchange Square on Sunday 31st July.

All proceeds will go to the GRA’s Who Gives a Fork campaign which aims to raise £100,000 for Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres over the course of the year.

The dinner is being hosted by the Daily Record’s restaurant critic Tam Cowan who will be entertaining guests with his culinary banter as well as interviewing the chefs who cooked the meal.

Tam could talk the back legs off a donkey and then eat them while still maintaining a constant stream of patter so don’t expect any lengthy pauses in between the gags.

As well as the meal, the event includes a glittering array of goodies which are up for auction and as raffle prizes.

Plus an eight course Tasting Menu dinner with matched wines for two at the Michelin starred Plumed Horse in Edinburgh.

Dinner for four cooked by Two Fat Ladies @ The Buttery chef in your own home.

A round of golf for four at Mearns Golf Academy, also courtesy of Satty Singh.

The chefs involved are: Brian Maule from Chardon d’Or, Ryan James from The Buttery, Mister Singh’s Barry Singh, Chris Naylor from The Mint Hotel’s City Cafe, and 29’s own David Friel.
