The Art Lover’s Cafe at House for an Art Lover is one of the venues taking part in Glasgow Dinearound’s Big Mack event.

Back for a third year, the Creative Mackintosh Festival is taking place in Glasgow from today until the end of October.

To help celebrate the legacy of one of Glasgow’s most famous artists, our friends at Glasgow Dinearound have teamed up with the Creative Mackintosh Festival 2014 for the Big Mack Dinearound.

Running until the end of the month, the Dinearound will offer diners a delicious two or three course meal for £15.95.

You can browse the participating restaurants from here.

House for an Art Lover

Naturally, House for an Art Lover, which was designed by Mackintosh, is among the venues taking part.

We blogged about Mackintosh, his legacy and the Art Lover’s Cafe at House for an Art Lover here.

Now, feasting and toasting have long been a popular way of celebrating famous figures.

And with great restaurants such as Butchershop Bar & Grill; Di Maggio’s, Red Onion and Restaurant Piccolo Mondo all participating, the Big Mack Dinearound is no exception.

2 for 1 on exhibition entry

But it’s not all about the pleasures of the table. 5pm customers are a cultured crowd and diners who book the Big Mack Dinearound will also be able to take advantage of the following:

2 for 1 tickets to the Mackintosh Architecture exhibition at The Hunterian

10% discount in The Lighthouse, Glasgow School of Art and House for an Art Lover shops.

You can claim these additional discounts by presenting a copy of your booking confirmation at the relevant outlets.

Fire fund raising

Some of the events will raise money for the Mackintosh Building Fire Fund, set up to repair the damage done to Glasgow School of Art after fire struck Mackintosh’s best loved building earlier this year.
