Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn
Escape a dark, cold wintry Glasgow Christmas (for a few hours anyway) by dining on the Christmas menu at Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn in Glasgow’s Bath Street. Canvas prints of tropical beauties and a menu packed with fruity cocktails and delicious Thai dishes invokes sandy shores and warmer climates. Tiki’s Christmas menu includes all the Thai classics like green curry and pad thai coconut as well as desserts like mango panna cotta and pineapple fritters.

Dragon-I
For more Asian treats try out the Christmas menu at Dragon I. The Chinese restaurant will be serving up dishes such as mong gor gai – sliced breast chicken in a mango sauce, with sautéed onions, coriander and crushed cashewnuts served with garlic butter fried rice, and the Hung jiao – scotch beef, with red peppers and onions stir fried in a peppercorn sauce, served with garlic butter fried rice. The dessert menu includes more traditional offerings like bread and butter pudding with raisins and goji berries, served with vanilla ice cream, and meringue with a raspberry and strawberry compote, served with vanilla ice cream.

Khublai Khan’s Mongolian BBQ
You can’t get much more alternative than Mongolian barbecue. At Khublai Khan in Glasgow and Edinburgh you choose your ingredients from the vast selection of rice, noodles, vegetables, exotic meats (including kangaroo, zebra, yak and more) and seafood, add a combination of sauces, oils, herbs and spices then take your bowl to the hotplate and hand them over to the grill chef. Their Festive feast menu is £27.95 for the barbecue, plus an accompaniment, starter and dessert.

Bar Soba
With pan Asian cuisine covering Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian, Bar Soba in Glasgow and Edinburgh have a Christmas menu with a difference, serving up ramen, Thai curry and lots more. A dessert of Christmas pudding cheesecake served with a brandy and caramel sauce is a nod to tradition.

Boteco Do Brasil
Boteco do Brasil, in Glasgow and Edinburgh, takes a Brazilian approach to Christmas; their festive menu includes Brazilian lamb stew served with saffron rice and Brazilian potato dough filled with catupiry cheese. However, there is also a roast turkey with all the trimmings for anyone who wants it.
