It might still be November, but restaurants in Glasgow and Edinburgh are already rolling out their festive menus. Here at 5pm we’ve been waiting for the first opportunity to tuck into roast turkey and Christmas pudding which is why we’re salivating over the offers below. Mansion House
The restaurant in Mansion House is the perfect place to begin a Christmas night out – the Glasgow superclub includes a comedy club, disco, private party room and karaoke. Their festive menu includes bacon wrapped roasted turkey parcel served with sage and onion stuffing and all the trimmings, or a Christmas pudding with brandy sauce for dessert.

Chaophraya
Enjoy a Thai Christmas lunch in the gorgeous setting of Chaophraya, Glasgow city centre. Europe’s biggest Thai restaurant has a Christmas menu of mouthwatering Thai dishes including Thai green chicken curry and prawn tempura.

Thairiffic
Thairiffic on Sauchiehall Street has both a Christmas lunch and dinner menu which stick to traditional Thai cuisine with a few Christmas touches, such as duck served with tangy orange sauce and broccoli, and Christmas pudding with brandy sauce for dessert.

56 North
56 North in Edinburgh have a Christmas menu to suit every taste. Traditionalists can tuck into the roast turkey with chipolatas, chestnut stuffing and cranberry jus served with thyme roasted root vegetables and potatoes with Brussels sprouts, while vegetarians are to with a Puff pastry with slow roasted Mediterranean vegetable, Spanish olives, feta cheese drizzled with balsamic reduction. The starters and desserts look equally as tasty – examples are chicken liver pate with toasted brioche and sweet onion chutney, and vanilla ice cream with the gin gents raspberry gin reduction.
