Definitely real and there are plenty of real spruce trees in the grounds at Birchbrae.
Favourite Christmas culinary treat?
Kirsch cherries are a bit of a guilty secret, I keep a box hidden just for me!
Present giving or receiving?
Giving, I spend a lot of time coming up with the perfect gifts for loved ones and it’s a real joy to see their face light up when they open the wrapping paper.
Mince pies or Christmas pudding?
Warm mince pie, a dash of brandy, topped with whipped cream
Top Christmas cooking tip?
Use whole chipolata sausages, add a sage leaf and wrap with smoked streaky bacon. Baste with real maple syrup and a couple of drops of Worcester Sauce and cook in a medium oven. The best pigs in blankets you’ll ever eat!
Favourite Christmas tipple?
It’s got to be Baileys.
Favourite Christmas carol or song?
Fairytale of New York.
Favourite part of Christmas Day?
Everyone sitting down to enjoy Christmas Dinner.
