One Square Gin will be slaking thirsts at Savour this weekend.

Looking for something to get your teeth into at the weekend? The second Savour festival of food and drink offers plenty to chew over.

Taking place in Edinburgh’s Summerhall, the event runs from 1pm to 6pm on Sunday 5th July,

Dozens of local food producers and a good selection of Edinburgh restaurateurs will be showcasing their goodies in Summerhall’s courtyard, Dissection Room, Wine Lab and designated Pudding Hall.

Foraged ingredients

Featuring truffles from Italy; Scottish charcuterie from the UK’s only female charcutier; Pickerings Gin and Barney’s Beer – there will be no reason to remain peckish or drouthy for long at Savour.

Several chums of the 5pm Dining blog will be there.

The good people of One Square will be demonstrating their skills with a gin bottle while The Edinburgh Larder Bistro will be showing off their recipes using local and foraged ingredients. Their posh sausage rolls, with meat from Peelham Farms, come recommended.

Calistoga restaurant is well known for its cracking selection of wines from Napa and Sonoma. Guests will be able to sample them along with canapés on Sunday.

Cocktail cupcakes

If cocktails are more your thing then make tracks to the Monboddo Bar from Doubletree Hilton. Under the watchful eye of Jaume, Head Barman and Barcelona native, Monboddo’s staff will be whipping up premium cocktails and serving cocktail-inspired cupcakes.

We’ve mentioned the restaurants who are 5pm members but dozens of other fine suppliers and restaurants will be in attendance on Sunday.
