TriBeCa Burger
TriBeCa brings the Big Apple to Bruntsfield.

The TriBeCa group has been busy of late. In addition to their three American diner-themed restaurants in Glasgow, they have just added a fourth in Edinburgh.

As we noted on the 5pm Dining blog back in April, TriBeCa Bruntsfield has set up shop at 88 Bruntsfield Place.

All-day brunch

Just like its Glasgow counterparts, the all-day brunch plays a big part in its offer. Launching during the festivals, when normal meal times go out the window, serving brunch until 5pm is a smart move.

It may be Monday morning and most of us are at the office coalface but we’re sure that plenty of festival goers are only just thinking of getting up and hunting down some sustenance.

The Brooklyn Breakfast could be just the ticket to ensure that body and soul stay together. It consists of a stack of fresh buttermilk pancakes drizzled with French butter and served with maple syrup; two slices of locally sourced bacon; two link sausages; two eggs cooked any way you want ’em and oven-roasted cherry tomatoes.

Build your own burger

If that doesn’t help you get over last night’s ill-advised visit to the 1am cabaret show then nothing will.

Steaks, burgers, fajitas and pasta dishes take over when the evening shift comes around at TriBeCa. The build your own burger option is always a winner with those who like to freestyle their dinner.

New Irish theme bar in Glasgow

Meanwhile, in Glasgow, we hear that Saint Vincent’s has opened on St Vincent Street. Apparently, it’s a Boston-style Irish bar.

No, we’re not entirely sure what that means but wish them the best of luck anyway.

Irish theme bars are an incredible phenomenon. Fashions come and fashions go. Mountains crumble into dust, seas dry up and stars die.

Yet Irish theme bars not only remain but thrive.
