No need to go thirsty at Inverurie Beer Festival
No need to go thirsty at Inverurie Beer Festival

Like beer? Looking for something to do at the weekend?

Looks like it’s your lucky day.

The Inverurie Beer Festival runs at Thainstone Exchange Centre just outside of Inverurie on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September.

Tickets are selling fast so you’ll need to act sharpish if you are going to wet your whistle in Inverurie this weekend.

Livingston’s Alechemy Brewery are providing five different brews ranging from their Citra Bust IPA to the powerful Malacca Mark 2, a black IPA.

Scottish breweries

Other breweries represented include Cairngorm, Fallen, Sinclair, Six Degrees, Bottle Cap, Strathbaarn, Jaw Bone and Celt Experience.

Of course, there will also be cider, gin, Prosecco and street food including Old Bay spiced Amity langoustines from Gadies.

We like the sound of the spiced rum from Dark Matter Distillers. Billed as Scotland’s first craft rum, it is a 40% ABV spiced rum packed with big flavours including nutmeg, ginger and Christmas spice.

You can browse the full line-up of beers, bands and grub-providers here.

The Inverurie Beer Festival has grown out of the Banchory Beer Festival. Look out for their next event in February.
