The SoHo Mighty Zeppelin Burger Challenge is not for the faint of heart.

The splendid SoHo on Miller Street has introduced a new food challenge.

The SoHo Mighty Zeppelin Burger Challenge features a double burger with three cheeses; something called suicide three chilli relish; a large portion of spicy fries and a garlic and chilli cheese baguette

Finish it within 25 minutes and you get a special t-shirt and your photo on the restaurant’s wall of fame.

We suspect that SoHo’s owners may have recently invested heavily in the manufacturers of Rennies.

If the SoHo Mighty Zeppelin Burger Challenge seems a little too much then you could go for a more manageable two courses from the a la carte. Yours for £10.95 when booking through 5pm.

Afternoon tea?

Blythswood afternoon tea
The Blythswood afternoon tea.

Across town in Blythswood Square, the decadent Salon Restaurant is serving up a luxurious new afternoon tea and light bites menu.

Available noon-5pm daily, the five-star tea features a sumptuous range of sandwiches, savoury and sweet treats – made using the finest Scottish ingredients.

Delicious dishes on offer include: smoked Scottish salmon and Atlantic prawn wraps; roast Scottish beef and horseradish sandwiches; mini haggis bonbons with grain mustard mayo; cranachan and Drambuie macarons and a full range of teas or coffees.

The classic afternoon tea is £28 per person. Naturally, there is the option to ginger things up with a glass of Champagne or a cocktail for an extra £10.75 or £10.50 respectively.

Should afternoon tea seem dainty then there is the alternative option of having two sirloin steaks plus a carafe of red for two at £50.
