Scotland play Australia in the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup on Sunday. The boys in blue are around 10/1 against but Scotland have whacked the Wallabies before so an upset is not out of the question.

In Edinburgh, the Braid Hills Hotel used to be a preferred venue for the Scottish team and their Buckstone Pub and Kitchen is marking Sunday’s match with a special promotion.

For £12, guests can tuck into a Scottish beef burger topped with haggis and Ayrshire bacon or an Aussie spicy bean burger with sweetcorn salsa.

Both are served with chunky chips and the deal includes your choice of draught lager/ale, guest ale, 175ml wine or a soft drink.

Showiong all 4 quarter final matches

All four quarter final matches will be shown on the bar’s TV screens and the burger deal will be available both  Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2015.

Incidentally, if the burgers don’t appeal, the Buckstone Pub and Kitchen has just relaunched its food menu.

Main courses on the new menu include slow cooked pork belly on focaccia with a yellow mustard, apple and shaved beet salad and a lightly spiced lamb navarin with steamed greens and potato dumplings.

The full menu is here.

If the weather is fine (the forecast is favouable) then the sun terrace at the Buckstone boasts fine views should you fancy an al fresco pint in between games.
