Seen any good gigs at Celtic Connections so far? This scribbler has his eye on tonight’s Lucinda Williams gig at the Royal Concert Hall.

The Lindi Ortega bash on Friday night looks set to be a cracker as well.

If you are going to any Celtic Connections concerts over the next ten days or so then you should have a browse of the 5pm restaurant deals available with the Celtic Connections Dinearound promotion.

Each day, a couple of dozen Glasgow restaurants will be offering two courses, or similar, from their special Celtic Connections Dinearound menus for a wallet-friendly £15.95.

Drink included

Some, such as Boteco do Brasil, Café Rogano and Mango, even include a drink.

Both Café Andaluz in the city centre and the West End are offering a sharing platter plus five tapas between two while the very well reviewed Di Maggio’s on West Nile Street – right next to the Royal Concert Hall – is offering three courses for £15.95.

On West Campbell Street, Red Onion has three courses from the pre-theatre menu plus a glass of Prosecco available.

Red Onion is well located for gigs at the ABC on Sauchiehall Street.

If you are going to a gig as part of a date, there are some snazzy restaurants involved in the Celtic Connections Dinearound.

Dinner at Hutchesons, The Anchor Line, 29 – The Grill in the Square or Gandolfi Fish could all help impress.

The restaurants mentioned are a small sample of those available on the day this post was written. The full list of participating restaurants will change every day. You can check what’s on from here.
