Aside from providing a stunning backdrop to a Valentine’s meal, the Corinthian in Glasgow’s Merchant City has a new Valentine’s menu sure to make the celebration special.

Kir Royal & starters

Begin by toasting your Valentine with a Kir Royal and adding spice to proceedings with oysters, which feature as one of the starters served with a Finlandia Bloody Mary.

Other options include smoked halibut with apple and horseradish, caper dressing and smoked chicken terrine, sundried tomato dressing, lambs lettuce.

Want to share?

If you’re feeling the romance of the occasion you could opt to share a Chateaubriand with your partner but if you’d prefer to stick to your own dish other main options include beef fillet medallions, black forest ham and morel casserole and potato rosti; chicken stuffed with toulouse sausage, mashed potato, asparagus, peas and a cape sauce; and roast cod with clams and kale.

Sweets for your sweetie

Finishing with a bang, the passion fruit and lemon curd Eton mess fits with the love theme and the salted caramel, chocolate and praline tart with honeycomb and tablet ice cream is also a menu highlight. Another dessert option to impress your Valentine with is the white chocolate panna cotta with Chambord poached blackberries and amaretti biscuits. A delicious way to round off your Valentine’s meal.

You can 3 courses plus a glass of Kir Royale, a red rose and chocolate for £70 per couple on 5pm Dining – book and view menus and reviews for Corinthian here
