Never been to The Wide Mouth Frog restaurant? Here are three reasons why you should dine at this great local restaurant.

1. Fresh, local & sustainable

The Wide Mouth Frog’s menus are full of fresh, local and sustainable produce. Local Scottish beef cuts are on the menu that are dry-aged for 28 days; cheeses from across Scotland feature in dishes such as the cheddar from Mull in their delicious soufflé. Fish is acquired from leading Scottish suppliers like John Vallance and local bakers are used such as Alexander Taylors – quality produce is obviously key to the Wide Mouth Frog.

2. Gluten free & health inspired dishes

As the dining public have become aware of how different types of ingredients can affect their health and wellbeing, restaurants are becoming more flexible with their dishes. Over half the dishes on The Wide Mouth Frog’s a la carte menu have a gluten free option. Among the many options, gluten free diners could go for chicken liver parfait or oak smoked salmon starter and a confit chicken leg or Thai beef salad for main.
