Based inside what was once the booking offices of a shipping company, The Anchor Line is a restaurant worthy for a special occasion, with its opulent art deco interior designed to echo the Glasgow to New York ocean voyages of the 1920s and 30s. The food matches the quality of the surroundings, with only the best local ingredients used in the dishes. Di Maggio’s West End
Glasgow University students should consider the nearby Di Maggio’s West End which can be found up the back of the cobbled Ruthven Lane for their graduation meal. A West End stalwart since opening in 1987, it is hugely popular and caters easily to couples, groups and families with young children. The menu features Italian/American dishes and their graduation menu includes a wide selection of pizza and pasta dishes as well as meat and fish dishes like Chicken Milanese or Mediterranean salmon.

Widely considered to be one of Glasgow’s best restaurants, Brian Maule at Chardon D’Or has the fine dining cuisine and formal surroundings worthy of a special meal like a graduation dinner. Head chef and owner Brian Maule trained under famous chef Michel Roux Jr at the multiple Michelin star awarded La Gavroche in London. Situated in attractive and affluent Hyndland Road, Nick’s Italian Bar & Grill is a neighbourhood restaurant close to Glasgow University.
