Amarone is another stunning restaurant to celebrate a graduation in Edinburgh. The A listed former bank has a domed ceiling, striking silver mobiles which float gracefully in the vast space, a long marble topped bar and a whole wall filled Murano blown glass figures and vases. The food is classic Italian and the graduation menu includes pasta, stone baked pizzas and meat and fish dishes.

MP’s Bistro at Parliament House Hotel
Part of the Parliament House Hotel, MP’s Bistro is tucked away on Calton Hill, just minutes from Princes Street and Waverley Station. MP’s Bistro uses fresh, local ingredients to create menus with a distinct Scottish flavour and the chefs make everything in house, from the oatcakes to the desserts. The graduation menu includes braised Ayshire pork belly, West Coast mussels, and Scottish corn fed chicken with haggis.

Dine
Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Theatreland and the city’s financial district, Dine is a handsome restaurant, cocktail bar and Champagne lounge. The kitchen brigade at Dine has a Michelin star pedigree and local seasonal produce is the focus. The market menu changes regularly but example dishes are the North Atlantic Mackerel with couscous, harissa, roast fennel and cherry tomatoes, and the honey glazed ham hock.

Ghillie Dhu
Set out over three floors, the cavernous Ghillie Dhu has plenty of room for graduation celebrations, with a spacious bar where the party can be carried on.
