The 5pm Dining blog is never short of gin news. However, for today’s blog we have decided to branch out and post something with a Scottish vodka theme.
The good people at Arbikie Highland Estate by Arbroath have a large hand in a new venue at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.
They will be serving their potato vodka, chilli vodka and Kirsty’s Gin at the A-Club in Merchant’s Hall on Hanover Street.
Artisan cocktails
The A-Club is billed as a dynamic musical extravaganza which will be jumping with a wide variety of gigs through August.
From jazz to Highland hip hop via The Ayoub Sisters, a fast-rising Scots-Egyptian classical duo who were last seen re-recording Uptown Funk with producer Mark Ronson, there’s something for everybody. The full programme is here.
Happily for those of us whose days in the mosh pit are but a distant memory, the A-Club will feature table service at the cabaret-style seating.
To partner with the musical talent, Arbikie has mixed a fantastic menu of artisan cocktails.
To get you in the mood, here are a couple of cocktail recipes featuring Arbikie cocktails:
