Ardnamurchan in Glasgow city centre embodies contemporary Scottish chic. The stylish decor includes green tiling, exposed brick and pendant lighting, and the menu makes the most of Scottish produce, like the Tobermory smoked trout which is used as a sandwich filling. Rated by Class magazine as “one of the best bars in the world” The Salon within the five star Blythswood Square Hotel is a very stylish spot to enjoy an afternoon tea, with surroundings of Harris Tweed, Roman columns, marble, and windows overlooking the square itself. The chefs at Blythswood are always tweaking and developing their afternoon tea menu so what’s on offer may change, but the sandwich selection may include Ayrshire honey roast ham and Arran mustard mini roll, and Scottish smoked salmon and dill mayonnaise mini brioche. The cakes could include classic vanilla and strawberry Victoria sponge and Madagascan Madirofolo chocolate mousse choux bun. Traditional and fruit scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve are always included, as is tea and coffee. Option two of the deal includes a glass of Champagne.
