Christmas is the time when cocktail mixologists let their booze soaked tinsel strewn imaginations run wild.
Glasgow restaurant mixologists are no different, and by utilising festive ingredients like glitter, egg nog, fizz and cream, they have created some dazzling drinks.
One Glasgow restaurant which has put a particularly special effort into their Christmas cocktails this year is Princes Square’s The Restaurant Bar and Grill Glasgow.

They have come up with a trio of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh cocktails, named, of course, after the gifts the three wise men brought Jesus.
(In retrospect Mary would probably have rather had the cocktails than the gifts after the palava she had just endured).
Sipping a festive cocktail while overlooking Princes Square’s dazzling three floor Christmas tree sounds like a perfect Glasgow Christmas activity.

Gold cocktail
Served in a Champagne flute, The Restaurant Bar and Grill’s gold cocktail is a glam drink for fizz fans. Containing Prosecco, passionfruit and elderflower it’s a fruity drink to toast with.

Frankincense cocktail
Remember strawberry Opal Fruits? (or Starburst as they are now called). The Restaurant Bar & Grill’s Frankincense cocktail has the same sharp, fruity burst. It includes vanilla vodka, apple juice and… a secret ingredient?

For those who love their creamy cocktails like Pina Coladas and White Russians, The Restaurant Bar & Grill’s Myrrh cocktail is the festive equivalent. It’s main flavour is apple and the nutmeg sprinkled at the end adds a dash of Christmas.
