V and V Cafe
The V & V Cafe: opening on Great Western Road.

Glasgow’s restaurant and bar scene is well known for being veggie and vegan friendly. Those options are about to expand as The V and V Cafe prepares to launch.

Taking shape on Great Western Road, this new venture promises ‘delectable food, excellent coffee, exotic and tasty teas’ all delivered in a ‘truly delightful atmosphere’.

The V & V Cafe  take their commitment to ‘real and honest food’ very seriously.

Apparently, all the dry and cupboard ingredients used in the kitchen and all the drinks in the fridge come from SUMA Specialist Wholesalers, the UK’s largest independent wholefood distributor.

As you might expect, SUMA are a workers’ co-operative committed to ethical business.

V and V Cafe: ethical

The V and V Cafe’s cakes and breads are made fresh to order by artisan bakers while their dressings, chutneys and relishes are produced locally in deli kitchens by specialist chefs.

The cheese comes from Scottish ‘free-range’ cows, which are set out to pasture nine months of the year.

The coffee and tea is ethically traded and packaging is by Vegware. Additives, preservatives and artificial colours will not get a look in.

The chefs can take gluten-free requirements in their stride.

We could go on but think you have probably got the message. The V and V Cafe cares.

They will be up against a wide range of competition when they open their doors.

Glasgow regularly crops up in or tops polls and awards for veggie and vegan eating options.
