Keeping it colourful at Cucina.

Located in Hotel G&V Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, Cucina is a vibrant, bustling restaurant with dazzling decor from Timorous Beasties.

Using fresh, seasonal ingredients and hearty flavours, Cucina’s authentic modern cooking is inspired by classic Italian cuisine.

Head Chef Mattia Camorani is keen on using local ingredients including honey produced by the three beehives on the hotel’s roof. The kitchen likes to make as much as possible in-house from scratch, including the pasta.

Chef Neil Forbes outside Cafe St Honore.

Tucked away on a cobbled lane in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, Cafe St Honoré is a happy marriage between classic French decor and carefully sourced Scottish ingredients.

The name  might make the restaurant sound as though it is a French bistro which has decamped to Edinburgh but, despite the elegant Gallic interior, the cooking is mainly although not exclusively modern Scottish.

The Head Chef is Neil Forbes whose dulcet tones can often be heard on Radio Scotland’s Kitchen Café.
