Afternoon tea on The Terrace? Step this way.

Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor has just launched an elegant new venue that offers afternoon tea with a view.

Called The Terrace, it joins beGIN bar and Bo’vine restaurant in the hotel on the corner of the Great Western Road and Byres Road.

The new look Terrace is the result of a recent refurb and it looks very smart. We particularly like the pod seats which have a sort of retractable hood.

Ideal for those occasions when the gossip is so hot that privacy is paramount.

The Terrace is a light and airy space with a wall of Venetian-style arched windows that overlook the Glasgow Botanic Gardens and Byres Road.

Afternoon tea service featuring loose leaf tea from Chash, bespoke cocktails, a fine wine list, Champagne and Prosecco are all on the menu.

Champagne at The Terrace

As well as classic, Prosecco and Champagne afternoon teas, The Terrace has a selection of small bites such as spicy chicken wings, German-style goulash and cheesy haggis nachos.

More hearty appetites may want to take a look at the ‘little larger’ section of the menu. Among other things, it lists char grilled Moroccan chicken pitta; burgers and brioche buns filled with pulled Ayrshire pork with chipotle mayo.

There are also sharing boards of charcuterie, cheese and gin-cured gravlax and smoked salmon.

‘Following the success of our new gin bar, beGIN, which was recently awarded as Glasgow’s Best Pub/Bar of the Year 2017, we felt there was an opportunity to create another unique destination for social drinks and dining,’ said Nitin Ramtri, the hotel’s General Manager.

‘The Terrace offers an alternative to the crowded bar scene. There is plenty of comfortable seating, including a semi-private curtained area for group celebrations, where guests will enjoy table service. It means guests can spend the evening with friends without standing in line all night for drinks.’

The Terrace is currently open 5pm to 1am on Fridays; noon to 1am on Saturdays and noon to 5pm on Sundays.

Guests are encouraged to pre-book for afternoon tea service to avoid disappointment.

Big Deal on afternoon tea at The Terrace

We currently have a fantastic Big Deal on afternoon tea for two with Prosecco at The Terrace. Available Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4pm, the deal costs £29 and is valid until the last weekend in November.

It’s a great opportunity to check out the new look Terrace and enjoy afternoon tea with a friend or family member.
