Saying a big hello to the autumn and winter seasons, Brown’s new taster menu is full of dishes that lets you get a true taste of the seasons.

We visited Browns Glasgow on George Square to try the new menu and here are five dishes from it that you shouldn’t miss.

1. Shallot tart tatin

Browns' new taster menu

From the starters, this vegetarian dish has a delicious pastry base topped with caramalised whole shallots and crumbled goats cheese.

Pickled beech mushrooms and sage and onion pesto decorate and compliment the tart.

2. Chargrilled asparagus

Another starter to try is the chargrilled asparagus which comes topped with a perfectly poached free range egg and parmesan shavings.

3. Braised blade of beef

A main to fill you up with the flavours of the season is the braised blade of beef.

A hearty portion of beef is served on top of bubble and squeak and forestiere sauce and finished off with a dollop of horseradish cream.

4. Slow cooked salted pork belly

The second main course to try on Browns’ new taster menu is another meaty delight: the slow cooked salted pork belly.

Served with buttered green beans, mash, crackling and a red wine jus, the dish also comes with a very seasonal side, a savoury apple pie.

5. Salted caramel profiteroles

If you still have room left, the pudding to pick is the salted caramel profiteroles.

Profiteroles covered in chocolatey goodness with a salted caramel sauce.
