new restaurants in Glasgow
New restaurants in Glasgow: when the St Vincent Street project is completed Mezzidakia will look much like this. Design and visuals: Dominic Paul of [ibdp][1]

New restaurants in Glasgow? We have the full fat skinny right here.

First up, Mezzidakia is a new restaurant taking shape on St Vincent Street.

The sister restaurant of Topolabamba and Chaakoo Bombay Cafe, the menu will be a mix of Turkish, Lebanese, Morrocan and Greek dishes.

Much like Topo and Chaakoo, the emphasis will be on small plates.

The exact opening date has still to be confirmed but it’s looking as though early December is on the cards.

More news as we get it.

Next up in our new restaurants in Glasgow round-up is Burgers, Dogs and Beers.

No prizes for guessing what is on the menu at this John Street venue which opened at the weekend.

While we don’t have full menu details, the burgers and dogs look deliciously diiiiirty.

If we cross over the Clyde to Shawfield Drive, The Jenny Burn is a new Marston’s pub which also opened last weekend.

The menu is extensive.

And by extensive, we mean huge. From chicken katsu fries to a sausage, bean and kale pasta bake, they have dishes from pretty much every corner of the globe.

And perhaps even a few corners which have yet to be discovered.

Stone-baked pizza to Sunday roasts

You want stone-baked pizza. They got it. Nearly a dozen different burger options? Step this way.

Salads, sandwiches and steaks? But of course.

And that is before we get to the pub classics section of the menu. We haven’t even mentioned the Sunday roasts.

The Jenny Burn also has inside and outside play areas should you be in possession of nippers who need to burn off some energy.

As always, the 5pm Dining blog wishes all these new restaurants in Glasgow the very best of luck.

Check back on Friday when we’ll return with news of some out of town openings.
