Three Courses + Prosecco Cocktail at Alla Turca

5pm Sale
5pm Sale: Alla Turca has plenty of appealing dishes and is handy for the King’s Theatre.

Alla Turca is a Turkish restaurant in Glasgow’s city centre. It is so authentic that professional restaurant critics have compared it to the mezze bars of Istanbul. A family-run concern, Alla Turca is popular with couples, groups, lunching workers and, given its proximity to the King’s, lots of theatre fans. Thanks to its Turkish cushions and ornamental hookah pipes, Alla Turca certainly looks the part, with unobtrusive live music provided by the house guitarist adding to the atmosphere.

Rated a strong 4.2./5 by 5pm Dining customers, Alla Turca attracts comments like this: ‘Best Deal in Glasgow! Absolutely fabulous meal, service and ambience. Delightful staff.’ Rating 5/5

With the 5pm Sale, you can book in for three courses and a Prosecco cocktail at Alla Turca for £12.

Two Courses on Seasonal Menu + Glass of Wine at Antipasti City Centre

5pm Sale
Cafe Antipasti has been serving pasta and other Italian specialities to its customers for more than two decades.

Opened in Glasgow city centre in 1997, Cafe Antipasti’s menu has made it a busy little place over the last two decades. A relaxed, friendly restaurant, Cafe Antipasti makes the most of its Sauchiehall Street location by drawing in visitors to the nearby theatres, music venues and Glasgow’s top selection of ever tempting shops.

Although it is right in the middle of Glasgow, warm, curved wooden furniture and spiralling metalwork, designed by Scottish craftsman Paul Hodgkiss, give Cafe Antipasti a comfortable almost rustic look.

The food in Glasgow’s Cafe Antipasti is as Italian as the green, white and red of its flag although it does admit the occasional outside influence such as the Italian style nachos. More representative is the extensive selection of pasta and pizza dishes.

On the seasonal menu, main course options include the salmon piccata with pea and mint pesto and Tuscan roast potatoes; penne arrabbiata and a variety of stone-baked pizza.

With the 5pm Sale, two courses and a glass of wine are yours for £12.

Three Courses from the Set Menu at Babu Bombay

5pm Sale
Babu Bombay brings the Indian street food to the heart of Glasgow.

Located at the Bythswood Square end of West Regent Street, Babu Bombay Street Kitchen is a quirky and colourful basement diner. Grown from a street food operation that continues to pull crowds at farmers’ markets and other outdoor events, the mix and match decor is in keeping with the laidback and friendly ambience.

Babu Bombay Street Kitchen may not be first choice for a posh anniversary dinner but it is a warm and inviting space for a quick and spicy breakfast, tasty lunch; evening dinner with friends, low-key date or a catch-up with a pal over a mug of chai and a slice of cake.

As the name suggests, Bombay street food is the name of the game here and it comes in the form of home-style cooking, family recipes and street snacks with the occasional Scottish flourish.

From the set menu, we would have the tattie patties followed by the special chicken dish of the day with the ginger cake and kulfi to finish.

Book in via the 5pm Sale and bag three courses from the set menu at Babu Bombay.
