29 interior

If you're looking to impress at lunch, 29 - The Grill on the Square, ticks all the boxes. A perfect location with views onto Glasgow's Royal Exchange Square, smart interiors and service, quality produce and a great value deal, 29 is the full package.

We took a trip for lunch on their £14.50 for two courses offer on 5pm here. Take a look at the outstanding value dishes below.

Starters

Start off with a warm, freshly baked loaf, included with whatever menu you dine on at 29.

We followed that up with a starter of free range chicken and bacon Caeser salad with baby gem, boiled egg, garlic croutons, parmesan cheese and a creamy Caeser dressing.

Plus, another starter (below) of haggis bon bons with potato, chive and spring onion salad, whisky and Arran mustard sauce.

Main courses

Main courses offered equally as much quality and value as the starters. We had wild mushroom risotto cake with grilled asparagus, poached egg and a butter sauce (above) and grilled fillets of sole with a prawn, tomato and herb sauce (below).

Each dish included a side. We went for the battered onion rings and hand cut chinky chips; other options included wilted greens, Caeser salad and creamed potatoes.

Deserts

If you prefer a desert over a starter, you'll find it tough to chose from 29's selection.

We opted for the chocolate bomb with toffee and vanilla ice cream, genoise sponge and mango coulis (above) and lemon panna cotta tart with Eton mess ice cream (below).
