Tesco’s Enjoy the Taste of Scotland food fair takes place in Glasgow’s George Square this weekend. A free to enter event which showcases the Scottish producers used by the giant supermarket, it attracted 21,000 people last year.

Over a hundred producers will be showing their wares which range from delicacies such as new season Scottish strawberries to more off the wall products such as haggis pizza. One of the most popular features is likely to be the cookery theatre.

Michelin-starred chefs Charlie Lockley from Boath House and Tony Borthwick from The Plumed Horse are among the pan-rattlers who will be demonstrating their skills. There is also a strong showing from Glasgow’s 5pm members with Ian Brown of the Ubiquitous Chip, Craig Dunn from Abode, Hotel Du Vin’s Paul Tamburrini and Jacqueline O’Donnell of The Sisters all filling slots over Saturday and Sunday.
