After a long and tiring campaign, a winner of the 2009 Spam Cook of the Year competition, as mentioned on this here blog a few months back, has been crowned! Spamtastic!
Nicky Baker, the regional finalist from Spam hotspot the Midlands & Anglia, won the accolade for her gruyere, spam and potato gratin dish, the full recipe of which you can view right here.
As well as pride, Nicky has also won a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii where she can attend the 2010 Spam Jam Festival, an annual jamboree which is as awesome as it sounds. A spamboree if you will…..
I bet Jen from 5pm sure wishes she entered the competition now…
