According to Eat Out magazine, The Kitchin in Edinburgh is the second best restaurant in the UK with only Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck to beat.
I’m not sure how scientific their methods were but they claim to have collated most of the UK’s major guides and award systems and then distilled the results into a list of Britain’s hundred top restaurants.
Andrew Fairlie comes in at 24; Martin Wishart at 30, Number One at the Balmoral at 47, The Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery at 66 and The Witchery at 91.
