On August 7, we blogged about Platillos, a split new joint on Edinburgh’s Hanover Street that was selling Mexican street food. I passed the restaurant at the weekend and was surprised, if not shocked, to see a sign in the window advertising that the space was up for rent. Restaurants come and go for a huge variety of reasons but it was scary to see a city centre operation last little more than a month, especially during the Festival.
