This is an enjoyably silly story from Caterer Search about a professional dog trainer who has produced a product called hound cake. Specially designed to boost canine health, the doggy delight might appeal to pooches but the mix of broccoli, pilchards and eggs is unlikely to find too many human fans.
It is perhaps hard to het your head around if you are not a dog owner but forward thinking hotels have long looked after their guests’ pets with a surprising degree of luxury. At The Bonham in Edinburgh, they offer a Doggy Dreams package which includes a welcome toy and treat; an in-room meal prepared by the hotel’s chefs (it comprises a luxury bowl of meat, pasta, vegetables and gravy); a dog bed, for a comfortable nights sleep and concierge information on local parks, walks, pet shops and grooming parlours.
The owners get luxury accommodation in an individually designed bedroom and a full Scottish breakfast which, presumably, they may have to guard against Rover.
