Is a pretzel a biscuit or would it come under some more obscure sort of classification? A baked savoury product, perhaps?

I’m only asking as I thought that after a pretzel nearly caused the premature demise of the former president Bush that it might make an appearance in this Record story about the most dangerous biscuits.

According to research commissioned by the makers of the Rocky choc biscuit, custard creams are the generic biscuit type which is most likely to be involved in a biscuit-related injury. Cookies and then chocolate biscuit bars such as Rocky follow up in second and third place.

Apparently, the most common form of biscuit injury is being splashed with hot liquid or scalding while trying to dunk a biscuit or retrieve the remains of a biscuit from the bottom of a mug. Choking on crumbs is the next most common incident while remarkably some 7% of the population have been bitten by a pet or some or other wild animal while trying to get at their biscuits.

I would imagine that the incidence of choking accidents increases during Freshers Week when undergrads try to impress their new chums by eating mutiple dry crackers.

Which would win in a fight? The mild mannered custard cream
