Paul Kitching: Best New Restaurant in the UK according to the Restaurant Magazine Awards

Paul Kitching’s new Edinburgh venture, 21212, has won ‘Best New Restaurant in the UK’ at the Restaurant Magazine Awards in London and they were also nominated for ‘Wine List of the Year’.

Katie O’Brien, Paul’s partner, collected the award last night and said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated and won best new restaurant in the UK. It is a huge achievement for us as we have only been open since May this year.”

The winners are compiled and voted for by the National Restaurant Awards Academy. This is made up of prominent Chefs, Restaurateurs and Food Critics divided across the 12 regions of the UK.

Paul Kitching and his partner Katie O’Brien’s new restaurant with rooms, located in Edinburgh’s Royal Terrace, opened for business on 20th May 2009. Since opening, 21212 has received an official 5 star rating from the AA Guide 2009-1010.
