Michael Kilkie, the former owner of Kilmarnock’s popular Jefferson restaurant, has become the executive chef at Bothwell’s Cricklewood restaurant and bar.

Kilkie has written up a brand new menu which includes steamed mussels with garlic and white wine, fillet of sea bass with coriander crushed new potatoes and salsa verde and Amaretto and honeycomb cheesecake with chocolate sauce.

As well as being the Sunday Mail’s cookery and recipe writer, Kilkie is a recipient of the Hot Plate Award from the Record’s Tam Cowan.
