According to a psychologist at Cardiff University, today is the most depressing day of the year. Christmas credit card bills, short daylight hours and broken New Year resolutions all combine to make this the most miserable day in 2010. Happily, The Telegraph has printed a list of methods to banish the blues. I liked the idea of eating chocolate, cancelling a meeting and booking a holiday but the suggestion that made me smile most was ‘go out for a meal with fat friends’. Apparently the sight of chubby chums makes people adapt their own eating behaviour.
