Who ever first started the vile rumour that the Germans have no sense of humour should look into wok-racing.
According to this report in the Wall Street Journal, hurtling down ice chutes in a wok is all the rage in Innsbruck.
The best bit in the story is the nickname of the sport’s champion, on Georg Hackl. Apparently, he is known as the Speeding Weisswurst after a type of veal sausage.
