This is a big weekend for food festivals on the east coast and, to be honest, it’s a bit of a David and Goliath situation.

The Goliath in the picture is the Taste of Edinburgh event which we’ll cover in another post.

The David is the 3 Harbours Seafood Festival which has grown out of the 3 Harbours Arts Festival which has been operating in and around Cockenzie, Prestonpans and Port Seton for the last few years.

Situated on the Greenbelt on the Edinburgh Road in Prestonpans, the Seafood Festival starts today and runs through to Sunday with three days of live music, a beer tent and as much seafood as you can handle.

One of the foodie highlights will be the Italian seafood blowout at the Prestoungrange Gothenberg tomorrow night.

The Goth is fascinating if your fancy is tickled by pub history.
