][1]Sticking with Aberdeen, on Friday we wrote about The Abercrombie, a new bar which opened on the city’s Union Street at the weekend.
We noted that The Abercrombie’s coat of arms logo was not a million miles from that of The Saint, an Edinburgh gastropub and 5pm member which benefitted from a glowing write-up by Richard Bath in Scotland On Sunday yesterday.
The Abercrombie has been in touch and, apparently, their logo is based around the Kelly Cats which adorn the Union Bridge.
As well as incorporating local heritage into the bar’s design, The Abercrombie is keeping a keen eye on its prices. Main courses like the fish and chips, chicken tikka massala and mince and tatties are all £4.99.
