Hardeep promises a night of chuckles and pan-rattling

Comedy and curry seem to be a popular combo at the moment. As we have blogged before, Slumdog on Sauchiehall Street runs a regular comedy night and now one of the Harlequin Restaurants is about to mix comedy and kormas.

The Ashoka Mill on Glasgow’s Southside is to host cookery classes and comedy shows with Hardeep Singh Kohli, the broadcaster, comedian and Celebrity Masterchef competitor.

Hardeep is currently touring Britain to sold-out venues with his ‘The Nearly Naked Chef’ tour. He is an old pal of Sanjay Mahju who owns the Ashoka at the Mill, part of the Harlequin empire.

Hardeep will run his cookery classes for an audience of 50 during the day and in the evening he will present a show full of laughter and anecdotes combined with a further mouth-watering cookery demonstration. The events takes place on the 26th and 27th of June and the 3rd and 4th of July.

Reservations for The Ashoka Cookery Classes ****with ‘The Nearly Naked Chef’ are limited to just 50 places with the £150 ticket including admission to ‘An Evening with Hardeep Singh Kohli’. Some 200 tickets to the evening’s entertainment alone – priced at £30 including a delicious three course meal. ****

If you can’t make it to the event in person then you can log on to www.ashokaatthemill.com at 7.30pm on 26 and 27 June and 3 and 4 July to watch the event live in the comfort of their own homes.
