You may have already seen this in the Evening Times but the Frasers department store in Glasgow has just opened a new champagne bar and restaurant.

Called Hugh’s, it opens officially this evening but it is already up and running on the first floor of the store.

The champagne list looks suitably bling but the food menu reads well. Grilled Scottish scallops with beetroot puree and a garden pea vinaigrette, anyone?

Meanwhile, up in Aberdeen, there is a new Japanese/Korean restaurant on Huntly Street. It’s called Yorokobi and is the brain child of Chef Jang who previously ran a very popular sushi stall out of Aberdeen Market.

Grilled eel, maki sets, Korean pancakes and bulgoki stew are all on the menu. Naturally, there are plenty of other scoffing options in Aberdeen. The 5pm members in the city can be found here. Just click through to Aberdeen.
