Iggy Campos contemplates his vines

Iggy Campos, the patron of Iggs and, of course, the subject of a recent Chewin the Fat blog, is a man who knows and loves the wines of his Spanish homeland.

Tomorrow, he is hosting a wine tasting dinner at Iggs in Edinburgh.

Master of Wine, Mark O’Bryen will talk guests throughthe riojas of Bodegas Vina Real. The wines will be matched with five tapas courses from the Iggs kitchens.

Tickets are £40.

Spain are generally available as the 9/2 favourites to lift the World Cup in a little over a month’s time so this could be a great way of discovering the ideal wine with which to toast the Spaniards’ possible victory.
