The blog chuckled at this Huffington Post slideshow entitled PR Bait: The Most Expensive Restaurant Dish Gimmicks.

It’s a barbed look at some of the more ludicrously priced dishes that restaurants and bars have invented in order to secure some publicity.

Daft thought they may be ($1.4 million for a bowl of strawberries!), they almost invariably succeed in attracting headlines.

View last week’s 5pm blog about BrewDog’s £500 bottles of beer for proof.

I can’t figure out if this recently launched vodka falls into the same category.

Called Black Moth Vodka, it is infused with Perigord truffles. I don’t think I would like to actually drink the stuff although some of the vodka-flavoured recipes on their website do look appetising.

Vodka is good. Truffles are good. Vodka and truffles? Not so sure
