The meat eaters out there will appreciate two of the latest additions to the 5pm site – especially as you may recall Jonathan previously mentioning them here on the blog. Both located in Glasgow’s West End, we’re pleased to welcome Bo’Vine and The Butchershop Bar & Grill to 5pm.

Promising meats and wines, the cleverly named Bo’Vine (Bo’Vine / bovine: cows = meat, and wine = grapes on the vine… get it?) can be found at the top of Byres Road. Decked out with some rather stylish leather seats (did I just see some cow hide, too?), the restaurant takes a no-nonsense approach to cooking with local sourced ingredients.

And on Argyle Street, occupying what was previously The Drawing Room restaurant, is The Butchershop Bar & Grill offering hearty dishes and a range of cocktails to enjoy in a laid back environment (and yes, there’s more cow hide!).

With such carnivorous culinary delights on offer, the non-meat eaters amongst you needn’t feel left out – there are some yummy sounding vegetarian and seafood options on the menus at these restaurants too! That being said, I could really go a steak now…
