The blog was delighted to see that Cookie in Glasgow’s southside has joined the Gourmet Glasgow promotion.

A club, bar, food importer, restaurant and all round culinary agenda setter, Cookie has already been the subject of mulitple 5pm blogs.

As part of this month’s Gourmet Glasgow 2010 culinary festival, Cookie’s latest bright idea is to launch their  ‘Eat What Your Parents Eat’ initiative.

The promotion means that, between 5pm and 7pm on week days throughout the month of August, children up to the age of 12 will be offered a free meal if they eat what their parents are eating.

The aim being to promote healthy eating for all the family.

Cookie co-owner, Domenico Del Priore, said, ‘Every parent knows that kids can be fussy eaters. From the outset, Cookie has been keen to promote healthy eating in a welcoming atmosphere for all family members. Our open kitchen has been designed to enable families – kids as well as parents – to see their dishes prepared and learn about food preparation and nutrition.’
