5pm was lucky enough to be invited to the opening of the new Zizzi restaurant in Glasgow’s West End on Friday night. It was an interesting evening of food, wine and art, as the walls of the restaurant were decorated by five recent art school graduates. The evening was based on ‘Tela Vuota’ or ‘Blank Canvas,’ whilst the diners ate, the artists filled the white walls, ceiling and floors with their Glasgow inspired illustrations.

Opening to the public soon, it is well worth a visit to check out the illustrations of Glasgow landmarks including the famous Duke of Wellington statue complete with cone on head, cranes of the Clyde shipyards and a tribute to Billy Connolly’s banana boots.
