It’s taken a little longer than expected but the BrewDog crew have finally got around to opening their own bar in Aberdeen.

It’s on the site of the old Marischal Bar on Broad Street.

There are twelve draft lines on the bar serving up BrewDog’s own beers plus the occasional guest. The bottled beer list reads like a Who’s Who of top notch breweries with bottles from the likes of Stone, Three Floyds and The Bruery.

The bar has been quietly up and running for the last three days but it launches officially tomorrow from 6pm.

Sticking with the BrewDog theme, Calistoga Restaurant in Edinburgh are hosting a four course BrewDog Tasting Dinner on Thursday 4th November. The price is £35 per person for four courses, a beer with each course, the tasting and coffee.

In January, Calistoga won the Speciality Restaurant of the Year award at the Scottish Restaurant Awards thanks to their enlightened wine policy.

They specialise in Californian wines and if that sounds like your kinda thing then you might want to investigate their Thanksgiving Wine Fair.

Held on Thursday 25 November, they will have some forty odd Cali wines available for tasting alongside a Thanksgiving dinner menu.
