Working on the basis that you are never to young to learn to cook, Cookie restaurant in Glasgow’s Southside is to start running cookery lessons for 7-10 year olds in 2011.
The classes will run after school on Thursday afternoons.
Cookie co-founder Domenico Del Priore said: ‘Cooking is a skill for life and, from the outset, Cookie has been keen to promote healthy eating in a welcoming atmosphere for all family members. We want to revolutionise our kids’ eating habits and promote a healthier, more varied, diet and our new after-school cooking classes will help us achieve just that.’
The blog’s earliest cooking efforts were of more benefit to the construction industry than anything else. In particular, I remember a batch of Melting Moments which cracked Granpa Blog’s dentures.
Do any readers want to share/confess to any early cooking experiments which didn’t turn out quite as well as expected?
