The Black Sheep of the restaurant family

A quick shout out to a couple of new restaurants which have opened their doors in Glasgow.

The Black Sheep Bistro opened on Clarendon Street last September but they have just signed up with 5pm.

Hearty, homely food is what they are aiming for. Think Cullen skink, mince ‘n’ tatties or, if you want to go posh, red onion and goat’s cheese tart. Their 5pm menu is here.

Look out for their Burns night bash complete with cock-a-leekie soup, the haggis and cranachan.

We’ll also give a big cheery ‘Hiya’ to the new Opium oriental fusion restaurant on Hope Street. Dim sum, foxy cocktails and main courses which take their cue from Malaysia, Thailand, China and Singapore are the order of the day.
