It is with regret that we have to inform you that both the Atrium and blue restaurants closed on Friday 4th February.
After trading for 18 years with successful concepts we would like to thank you for all your support. However, poor trading results due to not only the recession, the ash cloud at the beginning of last year and the snow at the end, but in particular, the lengthy closure of the Usher Hall and the reduction of numbers in Saltire Court, mean that we are faced with no choice but to close two much loved and well respected restaurants.
Over the 18 year period that the Atrium and more recently blue were open we saw and looked after thousands of guests through many successful weddings, private parties and smaller restaurant tables all of which enjoyed the unique atmosphere and hospitality we were able to offer. The many awards and accolades that both restaurants won over the years and in particular the repeat business bear witness to this.
The support shown by our suppliers, loyal customers and fantastic staff is fully appreciated. However nothing lasts forever and we now need to look to the future. As we write we are considering our next project. It will be in Edinburgh, the space and location will be different but the food, hospitality, care and attention to detail will all be familiar to you.
