Feeling brave? Reckless even? Well, on Wednesday afternoon, Edinburgh’s Tex Mex 2 restaurant is having a charity chilli-eating competition in aid of Children 1st and Cash for Kids.
Over the course of two hours, competitors have to chow down on a selection of increasingly potent chillies and hot sauces without taking a sip from the glass of milk which will be placed in front of each challenger.
It costs a fiver to enter and the last man/woman standing will win prizes which include a dinner for two. Whether or not they will be able to taste it is another matter altogether.
