BrewDog opens on the Cowgate tonight

Craft beermakers BrewDog officially open their first bar in Edinburgh today. Located in the former Chasers premises on the Cowgate, it joins the initial BrewDog bar in Aberdeen. The company has three more openings planned for 2011.

There are fourteen draught taps in place along with a bottled beer menu that features hundreds of brews from around the world. The imported beers range in price from £4 to £12 depending on how rare they are.

The bar has been fitted out in what becoming BrewDog’s trademark spartan style. As well as second hand sofas, the bar has an astonishing array of long forgotten board games. If you fancy a pint of Trashy Blonde along with a crack at Pop-up Pirate then you know where to go.
